Bernard Fitzalan-Howard, 16th Duke of Norfolk


 

The Most Noble Bernard Marmaduke Fitzalan-Howard, 16th Duke of Norfolk (30 May 190831 January 1975), known as Earl of Arundel and Surrey before 1917, was the eldest surviving son of the 15th Duke of Norfolk, who died when the then Lord Arundel was only 9 years old. His mother was the suo jure 12th Lady Herries of Terregles, and he inherited her peerage on her death in 1947. He was educated at the Oratory School.
