Berlin, New Hampshire
Berlin is a city located on the Androscoggin River in north-eastern Coos County, New Hampshire. First settled in 1781-1782, Berlin was incorporated in 1829. Locals have pronounced the name as "BURR-lun" since the United States' entry into World War I. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 10,331. It is home to several large pulp and paper mills, and has been a center of forest industries since the 1800s.
