Berlin Lehrter Bahnhof
The Hauptbahnhof ? Lehrter Bahnhof is a long distance railway station in Berlin and is considered as the most important European station new building project. During the planned re-opening in the year 2006 it will be the largest crossing station of Europe.

The Lehrter station opened in Berlin 1871 as terminator point after the distance taught with Hanover. Its location was very central at the Humboldthafen and the Spree in the citizen of Berlin district zoo, in range of vision realm tags. With opening of the citizens of Berlin metropolitan railway as verbindungsbahn and for the vorortverkehr 1882 directly north the Lehrter of station its own suburb station developed. For better distinction the remote station was designated often than Lehrter main station, the suburb station later than Lehrter in-town station .

After the Second World War 1951 the train service at the Lehrter station was stopped, starting from 1957 began one with the outline. Only after the reunification Lehrter station was the planning name for a new crossing station in historical place. 1995 began the first construction work, which is presumably to be completely locked 2006, 2003 the station officially in Hauptbahnhof ? Lehrter Bahnhof was renamed.
