Benton Harbor, Michigan
Benton Harbor is a city located in Berrien County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 11,182. It is the home of Whirlpool Corporation. Sites of interest: Shiloh House, built in 1910 served as the administration building and men's dormitory for the House of David colony, a communal religious group. http://the-light.com/mens/samson/4/samson.html. Sarett Nature Center, 300 acre wildlife sanctuary, offers trails, interpretative building and classes.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.6 km² (4.5 mi²). 11.4 km² (4.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.79% water.
