Being and Time
Being and Time (German title: Sein und Zeit) was the German philosopher Heidegger's major and most influential work. It was published in 1927. Besides being epochal, it was the first significant academic work of Heidegger that procured him a full professorship at Marburg University. He did subsequently change his views on several points in the book. It is a touchstone of Continental philosophy, a groundbreaking investigation of the concepts of Being & Dasein (meaning life or existence), related to ontology and phenomenology.
