Before Sunrise
Before Sunrise (1995) is a drama film directed by Richard Linklater and written by Linklater and Kim Krizan. It is followed by the 2004 sequel Before Sunset.

The plot is about a pair of students who meet on a train headed to Paris. The American, Jesse (played by Ethan Hawke), convinces the Parisian, Celine (Julie Delpy), to get off the train with him at his stop in Vienna, and spend the night walking around the city before he has to catch his plane the next morning back to the USA.

Over the course of the film, the two walk, talk and eventually fall in love.

The film ends with the two parting in the morning, but - realizing their love for each other - agreeing to meet back at the same place in 6 months' time. The sequel, Before Sunset, finally reunites the duo, but it is not 6 months later, but rather 9 years. The sequel has the same cast and director.
