There have been disputing accounts of the events leading to this recording, one talking about a recording session May 1966, when Beck was still with the Yardbirds while others place it after Beck left the Yardbirds in November 1966.http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE47F1DDA47A47520C9933445D3B153E50CDC0DFE8B02397E7DF7A11A7AA91123AE0FA5C6CFB1FA70F878ADF52AA6500ED4DA8E2B&sql=33:ewfozff5eh8k The latter story includes that Beck's Bolero was originally going to be the name of the supergroup the four formed but due to contractual obligations with The Yardbirds, Jimmy Page was unavailable.
