Beaune is a commune in eastern France, a sub-prefecture of the C?te d'Or d?partement, in the Bourgogne r?gion. Population (1999): 22,916.

The area around Beaune, the C?te de Beaune, is famous for its Burgundy wines, and Beaune is famous for its annual wine sales organized by the Hospices de Beaune.
