Batavia is a city located in Kane County, Illinois and DuPage County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 23,866. Fermilab is located in Batavia. A 2002 special census put the city's population at 25,153. Batavia is part of a tri-city area, along with St. Charles and Geneva.
