Baskonia
Baskonia (full name: Saski Baskonia SAD) is a Spanish basketball club from the Basque city of Vitoria/Gasteiz. The club is more often referred to outside of Spain as TAU Cer?mica after the ceramics manufacturer that has sponsored the club since 1987; TAU Baskonia and TAU are also used. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

It first played at Spain's highest level in 1971, and emerged as a major force in Spanish basketball in the 1990s. Most recently, TAU advanced to the championship game of the 2005 Euroleague, losing to defending Euroleague champion Maccabi Tel Aviv.
