Barstow, California
Barstow is a city located in San Bernardino County, California. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 21,119. It is named after railroad magnate William Barstow Strong.

The Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex, a part of the NASA Deep Space Network, is located in the desert near Barstow.

Calico Ghost Town is one of the few remaining original mining towns of the western United States, now preserved as a museum. It was preserved by Walter Knott (founder of Knott's Berry Farm).
