Barstow, California
Barstow is a city located in San Bernardino County, California. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 21,119. It is named after railroad magnate William Barstow Strong.

Route 66 runs through Barstow and the town's name is mentioned in the lyrics to the song, "Route 66". The city is a major regional transportation center. Several highways, including Interstate 15 and Interstate 40, converge on the city, and it is the site of two large rail classification yards, belonging to the Union Pacific Railroad and BNSF Railway.
