Barry Andrews (musician)


 

Barry Andrews was a member of British band XTC, who went on to have a short-lived solo career. He was also a co-founder of the British band Shriekback.

His one notable track was Win a Night Out with a Well-known Paranoiac, which received considerable airplay on the Anne Nightingale request show on BBC Radio 1 during the mid 1980s. The B-side of this single was Rossmore Road, named after a street in Marylebone, London.

In addition to being a musician, Mr. Andrews is also a sculptor and furniture maker. He's currently working on a new Shriekback album, entitled "Cormorant," which will be released later on in the year on the Malicious Damage record label.
