Barlaston


 
 

Barlaston is a village and civil parish in the borough of Stafford in Staffordshire, England. It is roughly halfway between Stoke and Stone, and is close by the A34, the River Trent and the Trent and Mersey Canal, and a railway line, which all go west of the village. It is the site of Barlaston railway station and of Barlaston Hall.

According to the 2001 census the population of the parish was 2,659.

Wedgwood moved his business to a new village in the north of the parish. The Wedgwood Memorial College is the headquarters of the Esperanto Association of Britain.

The village is near Wedgwood, Meirheath, Oulton Grange and Tittensor.
