Baramati is a small city in the India near Pune. It is located 99 km by road and 120 km by rail from Pune.

Agriculture is the main occupation of the people in Baramati. The main food crops grown include sugarcane,grapes, and cotton. Grapes and sugar are being exported to markets in the Middle East and Europe.
