Ballykissangel
Ballykissangel is a BBC television drama set in Ireland. The original story revolved around a young English priest as he became part of a rural community. It ran for six series, which were first broadcast on BBC One in the UK from 1996-2001. There was a significant change in the cast between the third and fourth series and to a lesser extent between the fifth and sixth.

Series 1
- Father Peter Clifford (Stephen Tompkinson) is a young English priest, who just arrived in Ballykissangel. Father Mac (Niall Toibin) is his superior. Assumpta Fitzgerald (Dervla Kirwan), owns the local pub.
- Brian Quigley (Tony Doyle) is a local entrepreneur who in the first episode installs a high-tech confessional, complete with fax machine, in the local church. His daughter Niamh (Tina Kellegher) is going out with Ambrose Egan (Peter Hanly).
