Ballston Spa is a village located in Saratoga County, New York in the USA. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 5,556. It is the county seat of Saratoga County{{GR|6}}. The name is from Eliphalet Ball, an early settler.

History

The village was first settled in 1771 and incorporated in 1807. It was formerly famous due to a mineral water spring used for healing.
