Bainbridge Island, Washington
Bainbridge Island is an island in Puget Sound, and is an incorporated city located in Kitsap County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 20,308. In July of 2005, CNN/Money and Money magazine named Bainbridge Island the second-best place to live in the United States.

Although affluent areas being politically liberal is not rare in the Seattle area, Bainbridge Island is especially of note, having voted for Democrat John Kerry with a 73 percent of the vote.
