Back to the land
Today, the phrase "back-to-the-land movement" usually refers to a North American social phenomenon of the 1960s and 1970s (which is discussed further, below in this article). This particular back-to-the-land movement was a migration from cities to rural areas that took place in the United States, its greatest vigor being before the mid '70s.
