Bachelor of Science

A Bachelor of Science (B.S., B.Sc. or less commonly, S.B. or Sc.B. from the Latin Scientiae Baccalaureus) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded for courses taken that generally last three years in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Germany, India, Quebec, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and South Africa or four years in the rest of North America and Scotland.

"Tagged" or specified degrees

Many colleges of engineering, business, education, etc. also offer the Bachelor of Science as a tagged degree. A tagged degree incorporates the name of the major into the degree title, and generally requires more specialized course work than a degree with an untagged major.
