Bachelor of Science
A Bachelor of Science (B.S., B.Sc. or less commonly, S.B. or Sc.B. from the Latin Scientiae Baccalaureus) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded for courses taken that generally last three years in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Germany, India, Quebec, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and South Africa or four years in the rest of North America and Scotland.

In North America, a Bachelor of Science degree usually requires students to take a majority of their courses (usually one half or three quarters) in the sciences, namely life sciences, physical sciences, or the mathematical sciences. Most universities plan the Science Bachelor degree as a liberal arts course schedule.
