Described as an "avant-garde supergroup" by WFMU's Scott Williams, the Brooklyn group Autobody has released three albums on Silly Bird Records: Autobody, Xelp, and Black Angus Vol. II. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Its members - Sheila McCarthy on drums, Jim Abramson on guitar, Eric Cohen on bass and David Abel on guitar - all hail from other arty post-rock/freeform acts like Caroliner, Dymaxion, Wharton Tiers Ensemble, Flaming Fire, Fly Ashtray and Drumhead. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
