Au revoir, les enfants (French: Goodbye, children) is a novel written by Louis Malle in 1987 in the form of a screenplay, and became a film in the same year.

The novel mirrors the childhood of the author. It is about a young boy named Julien Quentin, who attends a Catholic boarding school in Vichy France during World War II. Julien befriends a new student named Jean Bonnet. It is later learned that Bonnet is a Jew, who has been taken in by the school to hide him from the Gestapo. At the end of the book, Bonnet is captured and taken to a concentration camp and killed.
