Ashland, Wisconsin
Ashland is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, located mostly in Ashland County, but extending into Bayfield County as well. The city is port on Lake Superior. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 8,620. On November 11, 2003, the city annexed a portion of land in the Town of Eileen in Bayfield County.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 35.4 km² (13.7 mi²). 34.7 km² (13.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.98% water.
