Arisugawa-no-miya
The Arisugawa-no-miya house (有栖川宮家) is one of the shinnōke, branches of the Imperial Family which are eligible to succeed to the Chrysanthemum Throne in the event that the main line should die out. It was founded by Prince Yoshihito, younger son of Emperor Go-Yōzei, and was originally named Takamatsu-no-miya.

The Arisugawa-no-miya house served as instructors in calligraphy and tanka to successive generations of Emperors.

- 4 1699-1716 Tadahito Shinnō (正仁親王) (1694-1716)
- 5 1716-1769 Yorihito Shinnō (職仁親王) (1713-1769) - first cousin once removed, son of Emperor Reigen
- 6 1769-1820 Orihito Shinnō (織仁親王) (1755-1820)
- 7 1820-1845 Tsunahito Shinnō (韶仁親王) (1784-1845)
- 8 1845-1886 Takahito Shinnō (幟仁親王) (1813-1886)
- 9 1886-1895 Taruhito Shinnō (熾仁親王) (1835-1895)
- 10 1895-1913 Takehito Shinnō (威仁親王) (1862-1913)
- 11 1913-1987 Nobuhito Shinnō (1903-1987) - 4th cousin 4 times removed, son of Emperor Taishō
