Ari Meyers


 
 

Ari Meyers (born April 6, 1969, San Juan, Puerto Rico) is an actress, probably best known for her role as "Emma Jane McArdle" in the Kate & Allie (1984) TV series. Her mother is the actress Tara Meyers, who appeared in the television soap opera Another World.

From a young age Meyers showed an artistic temperament. When she was 4 years old, she wrote a play called "The Super Majic Show" for her nursery school for which she also wrote the script and songs and even directed the "actors"!

In 1982, Meyers landed her first major role as the stepdaughter of Al Pacino in the movie Author! Author!. The following year, she also landed the role of "Emma Jane McArdle" on the T.V. series Kate & Allie. Meanwhile, she also continued to take advanced courses in school.

In 1988, Meyers left Kate & Allie and used her earnings to finish her studies at Yale University; from there she graduated with honors and a double major in Philosophy and Theatre Arts.

After graduating, Meyers continued acting and was mostly cast to portray characters much younger than herself. Meyers has also lent her voice in the recording of several audio books; these include:
