Architectural Digest is aimed at the more affluent and style-conscious segments of American society, and not so much towards enthusiasts of classic and avant-garde architecture.

It bills itself - somewhat misleadingly - as the "International magazine of interior design". Each issue is largely devoted to critique and analysis of trends and fashions in interior design, interspersed with many advertisements, in much the same manner as Vogue, another Condé Nast publication.
