Arc (album)

Arc is a live album by Neil Young that was originally released in a special edition pack with live album Weld. Arc comprises of only one track, that is not a song. It is a compilation of sounds (feedback, rumblings of guitar and vocal fragments) that appeared throughout the live show released as the Weld album, at the beginning and end of songs. That live show was opened by the avantgarde noise-rock group of Sonic Youth, whose style is mirrored in Arc. Arc is another evidence of Neil Young's musical awareness of new musical experiences such as punk rock, noise rock and grunge, which he tried to master and, in some way, to become part of.
