Appleby College is a high school (grades 7-12) located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, founded in 1911 by John Guest. Appleby is a university-preparatory school, with a curriculum based around the liberal arts. It is situated on scenic Lake Ontario in downtown Oakville, and is roughly 50 kilometres west of Toronto.

Emphasis is placed on Academics, Arts, Athletics and Service in order to encourage well-roundedness in young people. It coined the term 'e-school,' and utilizes up to date technology, including laptops and projectors in every classroom, in all aspects of Appleby life.

As well as being a day school, boarding is offered from Grades 9 though 12 and there are numerous international students from over 20 countries attending Appleby. It is ranked by the Canadian Educational Standards Institute as one of the most prestigious schools in Canada and features spacious grounds. The school consists of a main classroom building, dining hall, arena, numerous playing fields, three tennis courts, three squash courts, a gynmasium, swimming pool, four boarding houses and a traditional Anglican chapel designed to resemble Westminster Abbey in London. As well, due to its situation on the shores of Lake Ontario, a creek runs through the west side of campus.

The boarding program is one that has declined in participation in terms of percentage of the overall stuent population in recent years. When the school first opened in 1911, boarding was mandatory. However, in recent years fewer than half of the students now participate in boarding. However, all students in their Senior Year are required to go into residence, and many international and local students do remain in residence. Approximetly 200 students are currently in residence, the vast majority of whom are in Grade 12.
