Appendix

The word appendix refers to the following things:

• In publishing, an appendix is a short section at the end of a book or presentation, often used for supplementary information. The literary plural is usually appendices, but appendixes is becoming more and more accepted.
• In human anatomy, appendix is an abbreviation of vermiform appendix (q.v.). The medical plural is appendixes.
