Anthony Radziwill

Anthony Radziwill was a television executive, filmmaker, and cousin of the late John F. Kennedy, Jr.. He was born Antoni Radziwi?? on August 4, 1959 in Lausanne, Switzerland and died of fibrosarcoma on August 10, 1999, in New York, New York at the age of 40.

He was the only son of Lee Radziwill (younger sister to Jacqueline Kennedy) and Prince Stanislas Radziwill. He married Carole Ann Di Falco on August 27, 1994 on Long Island, New York, with whom he enjoyed a happy marriage, but there were no children. He had one sibling, a sister, Anna Christina Radziwill.

Anthony Radziwill was raised Roman Catholic in England, where his parents lived at the time. In 1982, he finished his studies at Boston University and received a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. His career was started at NBC Sports, as an associate producer. During the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, he did an Emmy Award-winning work. In 1989, he joined ABC News as a producer for Prime Time Live. Around 1989 he was diagnosed with cancer. In 1990, Radziwill won television's prestigious Peabody Award for an investigation on new Nazism in the U.S.A. He later won two more Emmys.

Radziwill had good relations with his aunt Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and with his cousin John F. Kennedy, Jr.. In 1996, during Kennedy´s secret wedding ceremony in Georgia to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, Anthony Radziwill was the best man. After the tragic death of John F. Kennedy, Jr., Anthony Radzwill was named executor in the will, but he died three weeks later at the age of 40 from cancer.

A fund was set up by his mother Lee Radziwill and his wife, Carole Radziwill, in 2000, to help emerging documentary filmmakers.
