Annie Nightingale

Annie Nightingale MBE (born in London on April 1 1942) is a radio broadcaster in the United Kingdom, who since the death of John Peel in October 2004 has been the longest-serving presenter on BBC Radio 1 - her career at the station is more than twenty years longer than that of the second longest-serving presenter, the dance DJ Pete Tong. This is testimony to her rare ability to move with the times and reinvent herself musically.
