Anne of Avonlea is a book by Lucy Maud Montgomery, written in 1909. This is the second chapter in the life of Anne Shirley, beginning with Anne of Green Gables. It follows where "Anne of Green Gables" left off, as Anne begins teaching at Avonlea school. meeting all kinds of new faces and challenges, including Marilla's adoption of twins.
