Anna Paulowna
(population: 13,953 in 2004) is a municipality in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The municipality covers an area of 78.81 km² (of which 4.38 km² water). The municipality derives its name from the Anna Paulownapolder, which was laid dry in 1846 during the reign of King William II of the Netherlands and named in honour of his wife, Queen Anna Paulowna.
