Ann Meyers
Ann Elizabeth Meyers (born March 26, 1955) is a distinguished figure in the history of women's basketball. A standout player in college, the Olympics, international tournaments, and the professional levels, she is one of the most talented women to ever have played the game. Meyers was born in San Diego, California.

Meyers was the first player to be part of the U.S. National team while still in high school. She was also the first woman to sign a contract with a National Basketball Association team, the Indiana Pacers.

On May 10, 1993, she was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, located in Springfield, Massachusetts.

In 1986, she married former Los Angeles Dodger Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Don Drysdale, and took the name Ann Meyers-Drysdale. It was the first time that a married couple were members of their respective sports' Halls of Fame. She was widowed on July 3, 1993 when Don died of a heart attack in Montreal, Canada, and she later changed back to her maiden name.
