Ann E. Dunwoody

General Ann Elizabeth Dunwoody, USA (born 1953), is the current Commanding General, U.S. Army Materiel Command. She previously served as Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Materiel Command from June 17, 2008 to November 13, 2008. On June 23, 2008, U.S. President George W. Bush nominated her to serve as the next Commander, U.S. Army Materiel Command. She was confirmed by the Senate on July 23, 2008. She is the first woman in U.S. military and uniformed service history to achieve a four-star officer grade, receiving her fourth star on 14 November 2008.

Ann Ebsworth

Dame Ann Marian Ebsworth, DBE (19 May 1937 - April 2002) was a British barrister and judge. In 1992, she became the sixth female High Court judge, and the first to be assigned to the Queen's Bench Division.

Ann Elder

Ann Elder is an American Emmy Award-winning screenwriter. She won Emmy awards also for comedy writing, (co-shared for Lily Tomlin's 1974 CBS special among others). She also wrote for Mama's Family as well. Elder appeared several times on The Match Game during its run in the 1970s.

Ann Eliza Bleecker (1752 ? November 23, 1783) was an American poet and correspondent. Following a New York upbringing, Bleecker married John James Bleecker, a New Rochelle lawyer, in 1769. He encouraged her writings, and helped her publish a periodical containing her works.

Ann Eliza Smith

Ann Eliza Smith (October 7, 1819 - 1905) (born Ann Eliza Brainerd) was raised in St. Albans, Vermont by her parents Lawrence Brainerd and Fidelia B. Gadcombe. Ann Brainerd married J. Gregory Smith in 1842 and together they had six children. It has been believed for some time that the town of Brainerd, Minnesota was named after her. In fact that town was rather named after her father, Lawrence Brainerd, one-time Governor of Vermont and the head of numerous Vermont railroading enterprises.
