Andy Powell

Andy Powell (b. February 8, 1950) is one of the founder members of Wishbone Ash an influential British rock band that formed in 1969. At the time of writing (August 2005) the band is still recording and touring extensively in the UK, Europe and USA. Andy is the only remaining original member of the band which he manages and runs from his base in Connecticut USA. http://www.wishboneash.com

Andy and his original 'guitar buddy' Ted Turner were the original exponents of 'Twin Lead Guitar', and amongst others have been widely credited with influencing bands such as Thin Lizzy and Big Country. Andy's trade mark guitar is a 1967 Gibson Flying V.
