Andrew Evans
Andrew Evans is an Australia politician and Assemblies of God pastor. The founder of the Family First Party, he was elected to the South Australian Legislative Council on 9 February 2002.

For 30 years, Pastor Evans served as Senior Minister of Paradise Assembly of God in Adelaide. He was National Superintendent of the Australian Assemblies of God from 1977 to 1997, when he was succeeded by Pastor Brian Houston,Hillsong Church, who changed the title to National President.

Over the years, Pastor Evans has attracted some controversy. In May 2002, the B'nai Brith Anti-Defamation Commission called attention to his previous month's attendance of the Adelaide Forum, a conference organised by the Australian Freedom Foundation and supported by the Australian League of Rights.

In 1960 Andrew Evans graduated with a diploma in theology from the Commonwealth Bible College, now known as Southern Cross College. He also received an honorary doctorate in theology, awarded by the South Korean Dr.David Yonggi Cho.He was awarded the Order of Australia Medal OAM for his service to the Christian Church 26 January 2003.
