Andreas Thorkildsen

Andreas Thorkildsen (born April 1, 1982 in Kristiansand) is a Norwegian athlete.

Thorkildsen won a gold medal in the javelin throw at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He holds the junior world record for javelin throw at 83.87 m set in 2001, and the Norwegian record for javelin throw at 89.60 m set on September 10, 2005 in Monaco. He won the silver medal at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics in Helsinki.
