He won Most Popular Wrestler in 1977 and 1982. He won Most Hated Wrestler in 1988. He won Match of the Year in 1981 (vs. Killer Khan) and in 1988 (vs. Hulk Hogan).
• PWI also named him # 3 of the 500 best singles wrestlers of the "PWI Years" in 2003.
