Amitai Etzioni
Amitai Etzioni (Born Werner Falk 4 january 1929 in Cologne, Germany) is an Israeli-American sociologist, famous for his work on socioeconomics and communitarianism. He developed and propagated a philosophy of global governance based on the principles of the Kibbutz movement in which he was brought up. He is known for advocating the right of the community to make collective decisions over the rights of individuals in the minority, as well as advocating the idea of Intelligent Design.
