Amethi

Amethi is a place in India, in the south-western part of Sultanpur.

It is known as the seat of power of the Indian Nehru-Gandhi political dynasty. Shri Jawaharlal Nehru and both the sons of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Shri Sanjay Gandhi and Shri Rajiv Gandhi, held this seat. In 2004, Sonia Gandhi's son, Rahul Gandhi, won the seat in the 2004 general elections.
