American Bowl


 

The American Bowl is the name of a series of National Football League pre-season exhibition games that are held at international sites outside the United States. The league started the American Bowl in 1986 primarily to promote American football in other countries.

An American Bowl game has been played in every year since 1986, except for 2004. Also from 1988 to 1998, several games had been played per year.
