Some of the songs exhibited were : Yankee Doodle, Home on the Range, Who Shot That Hole in My Sombrero?, Lay Down My Burden, I'm Only a Bird in a Gilded Cage, Tarara-boom-seeay, The Bowry, Sweet Adeline, Old Grey Mare, See You Later Alligator, Shake Rattle and Roll, and Pop Goes the Weasel.

The show was comparable to Disneyland's Country Bear Jamboree show. The audience seats rotated around the stage mechanically within Carousel Theater, a building with most of the outer lower level of the building rotating. It rotated clockwise, unlike its predecessor, the Carousel of Progress, which used the same system and went counter-clockwise. The attraction was located in Tomorrowland. The characters were designed by Marc Davis. The show opened for the United States Bicentennial.
