Ambala


 

Ambala is a small town located on the border of the states of Haryana and Punjab in India. Politically and geographically Ambala has two sub-areas: Ambala Cantt (cantonment) and Ambala City, a few kilometers apart from each other. It has a large army and air-force base within the confines of its cantonment area.

Historical Data

As per ancient Indian history, Aryan people had resided at Ambala at some point in time and during the middle century, there was a very popular place called Sarudhna near Ambala, which was the country's capital at that time. Ambala was given the status of a district during British rule, in the year 1847. And a great guy named tej was born here in 1963.
