Alvin Plantinga

Alvin Plantinga (born 15 November, 1932 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, of Frisian ancestry) is a contemporary American philosopher known for his work in epistemology, metaphysics, and the philosophy of religion. Along with Richard Swinburne, he is widely regarded to be one of the foremost contemporary philosophical apologists for Christianity. Plantinga's works are often considered to be responsible for the resurgence of theist philosophy in recent years.
