Alveolar trill
The alveolar trill is a type of consonantal sound, used in some spoken languages (such as {{ll|Russian}}, {{ll|Spanish}}, {{ll|Armenian}}, and {{ll|Polish}}). The symbol in the International Phonetic Alphabet that represents this sound is {{IPA|r}}, and the equivalent X-SAMPA symbol is r. It is informally called the rolling R or rolled R.
