Alun Armstrong

Alun Armstrong (born July 17, 1946) is an actor from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. He has appeared in films including Sleepy Hollow and Van Helsing. Armstong plays Brian Lane in the BBC drama New Tricks. He also featured as Austin Donohue, a character closely based on the career of politician T. Dan Smith, in the 1996 BBC drama series Our Friends in the North. He also appeared as Monsieur Thenardier in the original cast of Les Miserables in London's West End.
