Alpena, Michigan
Alpena is a city located in Alpena County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 11,304. It is the county seat of Alpena County6. The city is on the shore of Lake Huron, with Alpena Township surrounding it on land. The Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary is located offshore near the city.
