Allstate Arena
The Allstate Arena is a sports stadium in Rosemont, Illinois, which is home to the Chicago Wolves hockey club, DePaul University men's basketball, and the Chicago Rush arena football team. The stadium was originally named the Rosemont Horizon and was built in 1979. The Allstate Insurance company paid $20 million to renovate the arena in 1999. In addition to the sports events, many concerts are also held at the arena each year. Capacity for basketball is 17,500 and for hockey and football is 16,000. The building was supposed to be the home of the World Hockey Association Chicago Cougars, however, the franchise folded in 1975, four years before the arena was completed.
